HBO has announced its Emmy-winning Issa Rae-led comedy series “Insecure” will conclude with its fifth season. The new season, which begins production later this month, will debut later this year. [Source: HBO]

In a personal statement released on Twitter, “Crazy Rich Asians” and “In the Heights” filmmaker Jon M. Chu has confirmed he has departed the planned “Willow” sequel series at Disney+. Chu says the moving production schedule, continued UK lockdowns and a new baby coming this summer has made schedules impossible to reconcile. [Source: Twitter]
The Pack
Amazon has cancelled its canine competition series “The Pack” after just one season. Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn hosted the ten-part series which debuted in November and was described as The Amazing Race with dogs.
The series featured twelve teams of dogs and their humans on an epic adventure across multiple continents. PETA condemned it, but an Amazon spokeswoman says the charity’s statement did not influence the cancellation decision. [Source: The Wrap]

TNT has released the trailer for the second season of its acclaimed cable series “Snowpiercer” which was the #1 new cable series of 2020.
The second season begins a new rivalry between Mr. Wilford (Sean Bean) and Layton (Daveed Diggs) that threatens to split the population in two, as folks decide whether to follow Layton or Mr. Wilford, with his new train and new technology.
