Chris Pratt is set to join Chris Hemsworth in Taika Waititi’s “Thor: Love and Thunder” from Marvel Studios.
He marks the third Chris in the major cast of the film alongside the titular star and Christian Bale as the film’s villain. The film also has Natalie Portman reprising the role of Jane Forster and Tessa Thompson returning as Valkyrie and ruler of Asgard.
Pratt’s Star-Lord character was last seen in “Avengers: Endgame” with Thor deciding to join the Guardians of the Galaxy aboard Star-Lord’s ship for adventures in deep space.
“Love and Thunder” is due to shoot in Australia in January. Pratt will do a short round of additional photography for the sci-fi movie “The Tomorrow War” before heading to the Australian shoot for this and then later in 2021 reprising the Star Lord role for James Gunn’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”.
