Josh Hutcherson Goes “Across the River”

Josh Hutcherson (“The Hunger Games”) and Sabrina Impacciatore (“There Is No Place Like Homes”) have joined the cast of a film adaptation of Ernest Hemingway’s “Across the River and Into the Trees” at Tribune Pictures and The Exchange.

Liev Schreiber plays a colonel, suffering from lingering PTSD from World War I, who is duck hunting in Northern Italy during the closing days of World War II and dealing with a star-crossed romance with a much younger woman whilst coming to terms with his own mortality.

Matilda De Angelis, Laura Morante and Giancarlo Giannini co-star and shooting is underway in Italy. Paula Ortiz is directing from an adapted screenplay by Peter Flannery while Robert MacLean, John Smallcombe and Ken Gord will produce.
