A couple of key promos today, starting with the first trailer for the Netflix series “The Barbarians” which releases on October 23rd.
Created by Arne Nolting, Jan-Martin Scharf and Andreas Heckmann, the mostly German and Italian-language series will center on the destinies of three young people whose fates are interconnected.
The story unfolds during the bloody battle of the Teutoburg forest in 9 AD when the Germanic tribes attempted to halt the spread of the Roman Empire. Steve Saint Ledgeridrects.
HBO has released the official trailer for the Spike Lee-directed filmed version of Talking Heads frontman David Byrne’s acclaimed Broadway stage show “American Utopia” which is coming to HBO and HBO Max on October 17th.
In the show, Byrne and his band of eleven musical artists from around the world perform hits from across his career. Byrne touches on various sociopolitical topics – police brutality, voter turnout, climate change, immigration – and challenges us to come together and grapple with these issues.
Funimation have announced that the fourth and final season of “Attack on Titan” (sub and dub) will be available on its streaming service in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Mexico, and Brazil later this year. In addition a new trailer is out, though is the same as the Japanese one released back in May.
The subtitled episodes will stream day and date with its Japanese broadcast in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Ireland; SimulDub episodes of the season will be available at a later date.
