Ewan McGregor has confirmed that the event series centered on his “Star Wars” character Obi-Wan Kenobi is set to begin shooting in Spring 2021.
McGregor also confirms to ET Online it’s a one-off… for now: “As I understand, it’s a standalone season. We’ll see. Who knows? [I’m] really excited about it. It’s gonna be great, I think.”
McGregor will reprise his role from the “Star Wars” prequels in the series which is set to take place eight years after the events of 2005’s ‘Revenge of the Sith’ in which Obi-Wan delivered the infant Luke Skywalker to his Tatooine homestead.
Deborah Chow will helm all the episodes and executive produce the series alongside McGregor, Hossein Amini, Kathleen Kennedy, Tracey Seaward and John Swartz.
