Nintendo has announced “Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity,” a new game that serves as a prequel to their critically acclaimed 2017 Switch launch title “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild”.
Set a century earlier, the game allows you to witness the events of the Great Calamity first-hand and try to save Hyrule from destruction.
Koei Tecmo, developer of 2014 hack and slash “Hyrule Warriors,” is behind the project which retains that gameplay style including “exciting 1 versus 1000 battles and a wide variety of playable characters”.
The game is due out November 20th. The project is separate from a “Breath of the Wild” sequel which is still in the works. No updates on that as yet.
