Disney Stretches Out “Mulan” PVOD Plans

Disney Pictures is planning to make is premium VOD release of Niki Caro’s live-action “Mulan” on September 4th a bit more accessible.

Originally slated to only be available through their own Disney+ service as a ‘Premier Access’ title for a one-time $29.99 fee. Now the streaming site has been updated and confirms the film will also be able to be purchased directly via platforms including Apple, Google and Roku.

Disney has declined to provide details on what the fees are for “Mulan” but Apple and Google have a standard 30% in-app transaction fee while Roku has one of 20%.

Amazon is reportedly not currently in the mix as a distribution partner for “Mulan”.
