Peacock is reportedly developing a TV series reboot of Amy Heckerling’s iconic 1995 comedy “Clueless,” this one to be centered on Stacey Dash’s character of Dionne.
The untitled comedy series is described as “a baby pink and bisexual blue-tinted, tiny sun-glasses wearing, oat milk latte and Adderall-fueled look at what happens when queen bee Cher disappears and her lifelong number two Dionne steps into Cher’s vacant Air Jordans”.
Dionne must now deal with the pressures of being the new most popular girl in school, while also unraveling the mystery of what happened to her best friend. Jordan Reddout and Gus Hickey will serve as writers and executive producers on the project for CBS Television Studios.
The project was first hinted at in October last year but no network or streamer was attached at the time.
