The CW has picked up a second season of DC Comics series “Stargirl” with the broadcast network to become the exclusive in-season home for the show.
The renewal comes midway through the series’ first season which runs on both streaming platform DC Universe and, a day later, on The CW.
It’s now moving entirely to CW for its sophomore run which only further fans the flames of talk that the contents of DC Universe will be folded into the HBO Max service at some point.
“Stargirl” is also confirmed to going to SVOD via HBO Max after the season wraps. The series is averaging 1.55 million viewers and a 0.4 rating on The CW in Live+3.
