CD Projekt Red has announced that, once again, their highly anticipated video game “Cyberpunk 2077” has been delayed. The good news is it isn’t by much – just two months.
Originally scheduled to hit April 16th and then delayed until September 17th, the game is now tentatively set to arrive November 19th.
In a lengthy statement posted to social media, the designers say they would never ship a game that was not ready and want to “apologize for making you wait longer” but they think what they are doing “is the right decision for the game”.
The move also has the game arriving likely after the launch of the new PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles which are rumored to be targeting October or early November launches.
The story-driven, open-world role-playing game is set in a futuristic dystopia, megacorporations now run a nation where the federal government has collapsed. Players will inhabit the persona of V, a fully customizable character in Night City.
“Cyberpunk 2077” will hit PlayStation, Xbox and Windows PC on November 19th.
