Xbox Series X Game Trailers Hit May 7th

Microsoft has announced that it will be revealing a first look at next-gen gameplay from their global developer partners with an #InsideXbox special on Thursday, May 7th at 8am US-PT.

Fans will get to see the first wave of game titles running on the new Xbox Series X console in this event next week as developers finally get to show off their hard work. It’s expected that some third party titles, like Ubisoft’s “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla,” are also going to be on display.

The event comes as Microsoft has been quite forthcoming about its console, offering not just its specs but video breakdowns of the hardware. With the games it will offer to be revealed, that leaves the only lingering questions of exact release date and price.

Rival Sony PlayStation on the other hand has kept mum about the PS5, aside from a developer tech speech which has been seen as a misfire and a controller reveal that was initially met with a backlash that has since turned around.

In the wake of this Microsoft announcement, GamesBeat’s Jeffrey Grubb suggests Sony’s game reveal event could take place on the 4th of June with the hardware likely to be shown off before that.
