Kyle Soller (“Poldark”) and Stellan Skarsgard (“Chernobyl”) are in final negotiations to join the “Rogue One” spin-off series based on Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor character which has been setup at Disney+.
It’s unclear at this time who the two will play in the series. Six weeks of pre-production have been completed before being shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic.
It’s expected production will be able to get underway again shortly after it’s over. The spy thriller series will follow Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion and prior to the events of “Rogue One”.
Alan Tudyk will also return to reprise his role as former Imperial enforcer droid K-2SO. Tony Gilroy re-wrote the pilot episode for the series and will also direct several episodes, while Stephen Schaffer (“The Americans”) will serve as showrunner.
