Trevor Noah’s “Daily Show” To Continue

After three episodes via online, “The Daily Social Distancing Show with Trevor Noah” will make the jump to Comedy Central and will air weeknights in the regular 11pm timeslot of “The Daily Show” starting Monday March 23rd.

Produced and distributed remotely with Noah and his team working from their homes, it arrives in the wake of the production shutdown of all late-night shows at the end of last week due to the escalating COVID-19 pandemic.

Many of the hosts like Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon and Conan O’Brien began to come back one by one via online videos with monologues and remote celebrity interviews. Noah’s is seen as the most elaborate with complex editing, short clips and graphics.

The show has been a success, the digital series amassing 3+ million viewers per episode within 24 hours of release on YouTube alone. This move makes it the first late-night program to forego reruns, with a goal for new content to fill the show’s 11-11:30 PM slot nightly.

It will also continue to be available on the series social channels.
