“Red Notice,” “Vengeance” Pause Production

Netflix hasn’t just pulled the plug on its various TV series due to concerns about the coronavirus pandemic, it has also decided to temporarily halt production on its big-budget action feature “Red Notice” starring Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds.

Shooting on the project has been taking place all over the world since February but had recently moved their production to Atlanta. Johnson made the announcement on social media with the production going on a two-week hiatus.

The cast and crew will reportedly still be getting paid though. It is unknown when the shoot was going to end and there is no release date for the project at present. Johnson plays an Interpol agent tasked with capturing the most-wanted art thief (Gadot) in the world. Rawson Marshall Thurber (“Skyscraper”) helms the project.

That’s not the only film also shutting down as Blumhouse Productions has suspended filming on its thriller “Vengeance” which was to serve as actor B.J. Novak’s directorial debut.

Filming had been underway in Albuquerque, New Mexico during the past two weeks and crew members were informed of the decision on Saturday. Novak is directing from his own script and the likes of Issa Rae, Ashton Kutcher and Boyd Holbrook star.
