“Supernatural,” “100” Hit By Filming Issues

Two of The CW’s most popular series, “Supernatural” and “The 100,” were supposed to come to an end this year – both shows culminating their heavily serialised arcs that have spanned years.

But fears over the sweeping coronavirus pandemic have caused issues for both shows which are in the midst of putting together their final episodes.

“The 100” is in the midst of shooting its series finale with just a couple of days left to shoot next week. As a result, producers are going to proceed and will try to finish the seven season-long series before sending everyone home.

“Supernatural” is in a much trickier position. Twenty episodes in all were ordered for the season with eleven having aired so far and a further three to screen from this week – see the promo trailer for those below.

A couple of weeks reportedly remain left to film and so a decision was made Friday afternoon to suspend production in the interest of the safety of cast and crew.

If the break is longer than expected then the airing of said final season will likely get interrupted before the last episodes and will impact the start of production on the “Walker, Texas Ranger” reboot which actor Jared Padalecki is slated to begin filming right after “Supernatural” wraps. Violent Brinson and Kale Culley just joined the cast of that show this week.
