Showtime has announced that they’ve have renewed several series, starting with “Shameless” which will return for an eleventh and final season.
The final run of the William H. Macy-fronted drama, which wraps its current tenth season later this month, will air this Summer. Ten seasons in, “Shameless” remains Showtime’s top series and is also the network’s longest-running series.
The premium cabler has also renewed both “The L Word: Generation Q” and “Work in Progress” for second seasons. Both shows will get a further ten episodes.
Next, the network has set premiere dates for its new seasons in early 2020 along with releasing some first look trailers. They are as follows:
Mar 15th: “Black Monday: Season 2”
Mar 29th: “Vice: New Season”
Apr 26th: “Penny Dreadful: City of Angels”
May 3rd: “Billions: Season 5”
July 5th: “The Chi: Season 3”
Finally, Showtime has opted not to proceed with Mark Boal’s spy thriller “Intelligence” which received a series commitment in April and looked to explore the secret inner workings of power and where it intersects with espionage.
