Epix has premiered the official teaser trailer for their upcoming Batman prequel series “Pennyworth” which is being made by many of the same producers behind FOX’s “Gotham”.
The 1960’s UK-set series follows Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon), a former British SAS soldier in his 20s, who forms a security company and goes to work with a young billionaire Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge) before he becomes a father.
Producer Danny Cannon has previously said the series is an “unhinged, R-rated” series full of British literary villains. Ryan Fletcher, Hainsley Lloyd Bennett, Paloma Faith, Jason Flemyng and Polly Walker co-star.
The series will hit Epix this Summer.
