Apple has issued a straight-to-series order for a half-hour scripted comedy from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” stars, writers and executive producers Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day.
The untitled series is set in a video game development studio, with McElhenney set to star. Both he and Day will write and executive produce. Lionsgate-3 Arts Entertainment and video game publisher Ubisoft will also produce.
“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” will begin airing its thirteenth season in September and has already been renewed for a fourteenth.
