The BBC has released the first teaser trailer for the fifth season of “Luther,” the Idris Elba-led detective drama which returns after a three year gap since the two-part fourth season.
Series creator and writer Neil Cross announced nearly a year ago that more episodes were on the way and filming kicked off earlier this year with the trailer now out ahead of a release later this year.
The new season will reportedly consist of four episodes. Cross, who recently produced the end-of-the-world drama “Hard Sun,” reportedly remains keen to adapt “Luther” for the big screen.
