A rumored October start date has emerged for the “Deadpool” spin-off film “X-Force” reports Production Weekly. Drew Goddard will helm the film which is currently expected to be his next project after “Bad Times at the El Royale” which is currently filming in Vancouver.
In the comics, the X-Force is a Black Ops force of down and dirty warriors who are far more ruthless than the X-Men and several of them have been glimpsed in the trailers so far for the “Deadpool” sequel. It’s expected both Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin will return.
In other filming rumors, That Hashtag Show reports that James Gunn’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” has already begun its earliest pre-production work in Fayette County, Georgia, the current home of Pinewood Atlanta Studios. At present, the film is targeting a start of filming date of early 2019 – putting it right on track for a May 2020 opening.
The third ‘Guardians’ will follow both the currently in production “Captain Marvel” and the “Spider-Man: Homecoming” sequel which is eyeing a May start.
