Following on from the news earlier that Warner Bros. Pictures is mostly skipping out on this year’s San Diego Comic Con, filmmaker Patty Jenkins took to Twitter and confirmed the news.
At the same time though she also offered a new “Wonder Woman 1984” one-sheet, the first real poster for the project beyond exhibitor conference art and a wildly colorful print that evokes its era.
The new movie fast forwards the action to the 1980s where Diana now takes on a new foe in the form of The Cheetah (Kristen Wiig). Chris Pine also returns as Steve Trevor. “Wonder Woman 1984” is currently slated to open in cinemas on June 5th 2020.
By now you’ve heard: WB isn’t going to Hall H this year. We’re so sad to miss you there! And waiting until Dec. to start our official #WW84 campaign in full– But the truth is… we can just… barely… wait… pic.twitter.com/QllFzhYRA6
