Sigourney Weaver, Lena Headey, Benedict Wong, Awkwafina, Hannah John-Kamen and Dave Goelz have all joined the voice cast of Netflix’s “The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance,” the ten-episode prequel series to Jim Henson’s innovative, ambitious and dark 1982 feature “The Dark Crystal”.
Directed by Louis Leterrier, the series will explore the world of Henson’s fantasy film and already features the voices of Taron Egerton, Anya Taylor-Joy and Nathalie Emmanuel in the leads alongside Helena Bonham Carter, Mark Hamil, Keegan-Michael Key, Andy Samberg, Eddie Izzard, Toby Jones, Natalie Former, Jason Isaacs, Simon Pegg, Harvey Fierstein, Shazad Latif, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mark Strong, Alicia Vikander and many more.

The project has been realized using classic puppetry with cutting edge visual effects. The series will launch on Netflix on August 30th.
