The final day of Comic Con has brought a bunch of promo trailers for the upcoming seasons of various shows, though only a few featured mostly new footage. Here’s all the other key TV trailers that we haven’t already covered in previously articles:
Heading into its ground-breaking fourteenth season, Jared Padalecki’s Sam will have taken on more of a leadership role in the new season as Dean, having been taken over by the archangel Michael, is off. Jack is now powerless and adjusting to his human status. Jody Mills and some other members of the ‘Wayward Sisters’ family will also be back for the new season which will include the show’s 300th episode.
Intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo will serve as the big bad for the upcoming second season of the Superman prequel series “Krypton” which also scores a new showrunner in the form of Cameron Welsh. Casting for the role of Lobo is still underway. The new season picks four or five months after the events of the finale and both Brainiac and Doomsday will return with latter being unleashed at full force.
Penelope Ann Miller has been cast play district attorney Ms. Wright in the upcoming third season of the CW series “Riverdale”. The second season ended with Archie Andrews (K.J. Apa) hauled off to jail after being framed for murder. Wright is the prosecuting attorney in charge of handling Archie’s case and plans on getting a conviction. The series premieres October 10th.
The Man in the High Castle
Amazon has set an October 5th premiere date for the third season of its Philip K. Dick series adaptation “The Man in the High Castle,” and in addition has confirmed last month’s news that the series has already been renewed for a fourth season.
A new trailer for the upcoming Syfy series based on Rick Remender and Wes Craig’s comic has arrived and confirms a quite loyal adaptation of the Reagan-era set series about a private assassin’s academy called King’s Dominion. Produced by Joe and Anthony Russo, the series has also cast Benedict Wong as the ruthless school head Master Lin.
Roswell, New Mexico
The upcoming reboot of the “Roswell” TV series didn’t have a panel at Comic-Con, but the CW has debuted the first trailer for it anyhow – the network pushing out the clip during the panel for its other freshman series “Legacies”.
The first footage has been revealed from “Legacies,” the third series in “The Vampire Diaries” franchise following that show and “The Originals”. Matt Davis and Danielle Rose Russell star in the new take which follows a teenage Hope. The story takes place in Mystic Falls at the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted.
Though only halfway through its third season, AMC came to the convention with a trailer showcasing what is in the remaining episodes for the year including a first glimpse at the Allfather and vampire Eccarius, along with the inclusion of anti-endorsements from groups who hate the show:
