Sylvester Stallone is moving full speed ahead with his plans for “Escape Plan” with the news today that he’s set to reprise his role of security expert Ray Breslin in a third “Escape Plan” film – the news coming as the second film is currently in production in Atlanta.
Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films CEOs Randall Emmett and George Furla have reportedly greenlit the third film with the second film’s director Steven C. Miller returning for the third outing along with series screenwriter Miles Chapman.
The original film followed one of the world’s foremost authorities on structural security (Stallone), who agrees to take on one last job: breaking out of an ultra-secret, high-tech facility called ‘The Tomb’. Deceived and wrongly imprisoned, he must devise a daring, nearly impossible plan to escape. The film grossed $137 million worldwide.
Dave Bautista, Jaime King and Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson star in the second one.
