Sylvester Stallone has taken to Instagram to confirm several rumors swirling in recent weeks about the currently in-development sequel to “Creed” at MGM.
First off, he has now completed the script for the acclaimed “Rocky” spin-off’s follow-up and confirmed that both Dolph Lundgren’s Ivan Drago, and possibly his offspring, will be involved in a big bloody battle with Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) in the ring. Stallone wrote:
“JUST DONE …. if you are curious , around 439 handwritten pages translates into about a 120 page typed screenplay …#writers cramp #rockybalboa #drago #adoniscreed #MGM”
“Creed” pulled in over $173 million at the worldwide box office and scored Stallone both a best-supporting actor Golden Globe win and Oscar nomination.
The first film’s director Ryan Coogler is busy with “Black Panther” until February and is in high demand so it’s uncertain if he’ll return.
