“Peter Rabbit” Sequel Set For 2020

Sony Pictures has set a February 7th 2020 U.S. release date for “Peter Rabbit 2” with the first film’s writer/director Will Gluck (“Easy A”) returning in the same capacity for the follow-up.

Based on the stories by Beatrix Potter, the first CGI-live action comedy-drama scored a $25 million domestic opening weekend earlier this year and managed an impressive 4.5 multiple – ultimately nabbing $115 million States-side alone.

It’s not clear which actors will return including James Corden, Rose Byrne, Domhnall Gleeson, Sam Neill, Daisy Ridley, Elizabeth Debicki, Margot Robbie, and James Corden. The film ultimately made $325 million worldwide.
