News Bits: Fallout, Netflix, Wool, Preacher

Bethesda has unveiled details on their E3 press conference events and confirmed that upcoming games “Fallout 4,” “Doom” and “Battlecry” will be the focus of their presentation and various panels. Sadly said panels will NOT be streamed, nor is there any mention of “Dishonored 2” at this point. [Source: Game Informer]

Netflix Kids Series
Netflix has two children’s shows on the way and today have released first look art from two of them. The first is “Tarzan and Jane,” a new spin on the Edgar Rice Burroughs classic in which a 16 year-old Tarzan returns from the African jungle to a boarding school in London. The eight-episode series sees Tarzan team with Jane to help solve environmental injustice.

There’s also “Kong – King of the Apes” which is set in 2050 and features Kong as the strongest creature who is framed by a man who wants to unleash an army of gigantic robotic dinosaurs. [Source: Collider]

“Guardians of the Galaxy” scribe Nicole Perlman has been hired to pen a rewrite of the sci-fi movie “Wool” for 20th Century Fox and producers Ridley Scott, Steve Zaillian and Garrett Basch.

Based on the high-concept novel by Hugh Howey, the story is set on an Earth where the air is no longer breathable and the world’s last community lives underground in a giant silo. J Blakeson (“The 5th Wave”) penned the original script. [Source: The Wrap]

With filming well underway on AMC’s TV series adaptation of the “Preacher” comics, the show’s executive producer Seth Rogen has shared some photos on social media from the set, including a shot of some of the costume detail for Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper). Check those out below:
