The FOX network has cancelled its Denis Leary-led military comedy series “Going Dutch” after two seasons on the broadcaster.
The second season aired between January and April this year, the decision turning the other week’s season finale into a series finale.
Taylor Misiak, Danny Pudi, Laci Mosely, Hal Cumpston, Joe Morton, Catherine Tate, and Kristen Johnston also starred in the show about a U.S. Army colonel named Patrick Quinn who is assigned to the least strategic base in the world – in the Netherlands.
The base’s previous interim commander also happens to be Quinn’s estranged daughter. The series averaged under 2 million viewers with a week of linear viewing (not including streaming).
Joel Church-Cooper created the series and served as executive producer and co-showrunner alongside Hilary Winston.
The decision means the Joel McHale sitcom “Animal Control,” already renewed for a fifth season earlier this year, is the only live-action comedy presently on the FOX slate. FOX will announce its lineup for next season at their annual upfront presentation on May 11th.
