First Photo Willem Dafoe In Togo

The first image has been released from “Togo,” the Willem Dafoe-led feature being made exclusively for the Disney+ streaming service launching November 12th.

Togo was a sled dog who, in 1925, helped prevent a diphtheria epidemic in Alaska by delivering an antitoxin serum through the punishing elements.

Dafoe plays Leonhard Seppala, a veteran dogsled trainer and musher (and 1932 Olympian), who chooses Togo to lead the run, in spite of the dog’s old age and small size.

The period family adventure is one of the ten original films the service plans annually with this one to be available to stream in December.
