“Guardians of the Galaxy” star Dave Bautista has branched out into various franchises in recent years from appearances in high profile theatrical titles like 007 film “Spectre,” “Blade Runner 2049” and the upcoming “Dune” remake to direct-to-video franchises like “Kickboxer” and “Escape Plan”.
However this weekend he made it clear there’s one franchise he has no desire to join – the “Fast and Furious” films. With both Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham bowing out of the main film series, some new blood is coming in with the ninth film in the form of John Cena.
Bautista was asked on Twitter if he’d join the series, which stars his fellow “Guardians” co-star Vin Diesel, and Bautista responded: “thank you for your consideration” followed by a hashtag saying “I’d Rather Do Good Films” and adding two vomit emojis on top of that.
Both Bautista and Diesel will get back together again for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” which is expected to shoot sometime next year. Bautista will next be seen in the action comedy “Stuber” in July followed by “My Spy” in September.
