“Jane the Virgin” actor turned “Five Feet Apart” director Justin Baldoni is adapting Colleen Hoover’s 2016 romance novel “It Ends With Us” into a film for his Wayfarer Entertainment company. The story follows a young woman through the tumultuous stages of an abusive relationship. After moving to the city of Boston after college, she decides to start her own business as a florist only to fall in love with a young neurosurgeon. [Source: Variety]
Australian actress Lucy Fry (“Bright”) will join Mel Gibson, Charlie Hunnam, and Morena Baccarin in Tim Kirkby’s action thriller “Waldo,” an adaptation of Howard Michael Gould’s novel “Last Looks”. Hunnam plays a disgraced LAPD detective who has spent the past three years living off the grid.
He’s reluctantly pulled back into his old life by a former lover in order to solve the murder of an eccentric celebrity’s wife.
