“Mortal Engines,” “Slow West” and “Gloria Bell” actress Caren Pistorius has scored the female lead role opposite Oscar-winner Russell Crowe in the psychological thriller “Unhinged” at Solstice Studios.
The film takes an ordinary, everyday incident to its most terrifying conclusion. Pistorius plays Rachel, a young mother who leans on her horn at the wrong time and to the wrong guy (Crowe). What he’s about to do to her and everyone she knows goes far beyond ‘road rage’.
Derrick Borte helms the film which was penned by “Disturbia” and “Red Eye” writer Carl Ellsworth. Filming begins this week in New Orleans ahead of a late Summer/early Fall 2020 wide cinema release. Lisa Ellzey produces.
