Director Peter Farrelly has decided what is set to be his next project following the Best Picture Oscar-winning success of his last feature “Green Book”.
Farrelly is set to helm a currently untitled adaptation of Joanna Molloy and John ‘Chickie’ Donohue’s true story novel “The Greatest Beer Run Ever: A True Story of Friendship Stronger Than War” for Skydance.
Set in 1967, Donohue leaves New York with a crazy idea to sneak into Vietnam. He then attempts to track down his childhood buddies so that he can share beers with them, while they are all fighting in the war.
Farrelly plans on co-writing the script with Brian Currie and Pete Jones. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger and Andrew Muscato will serve as producers
The project is still in early stages so no cast or production schedule has yet been set.
