Maps, “Rover,” “River” Lead Cannes Buzz

An infographic from marketing firm Way to Blue has revealed that David Cronenberg’s “Maps to the Stars” and David Michod’s “The Rover” are currently leading the buzz of the Cannes Film Festival line-up in terms of social media awareness.

‘Maps’ came in first with 20,236 mentions compared to “The Rover” with 18,012 but a few more were intent on seeing the latter than the former (2,606 vs. 2,527).

Also scoring high were Oliver Assayas’ “Clouds of Sils Maria”, Ryan Gosling’s directorial debut “Lost River,” Olivier Dahan’s “Grace of Monaco,” Bennett Miller’s “Foxcatcher,” Jean-Luc Godard’s “Goodbye Language,” Damian Szifron’s “Relatos Salvajes,” Tommy Lee Jones’ “The Homesman” and Bertrand Bonello’s “Saint Laurent”.
