Ahead of its attachment to “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” in cinemas, Sony Pictures has premiered the new trailer for the upcoming “Jumanji: Open World”.
The project marks the third entry in the revived franchise with the studio also stating this will be the last after 2017’s “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” and 2019’s “Jumanji: The Next Level”.
In the new film, the players have escaped the ever-changing jungles of Jumanji, but this time the game breaks free of its console, unleashing chaos into our world.
The core quartet of Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan are back, as are their ‘players’ Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner and Ser’Darius Blain.
Also back are Danny DeVito, Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, Marin Hinkle, Bebe Neuwirth, Lamorne Morris and Rhys Darby.
They’re joined this time by Burn Gorman, Brittany O’Grady, Tony Curran,Elena Sanchez, Dan Hildebrand and Jack Jewkes.
Jake Kasdan, who helmed the first two reboot films, returns to direct from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. The film opens in cinemas on Christmas Day.
