Clive Owen will star opposite Julianne Moore in the limited series adaptation of the Stephen King novel “Lisey’s Story” for Apple TV+, Warner Bros. TV and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot label.
King himself is writing all eight episodes of the thriller which centers on Lisey (Moore), who is two years removed from the death of her husband. A series of events causes her to begin facing certain realities about her husband that she had repressed and forgotten.
King, Moore, Abrams and Ben Stephenson are executive producers.
This marks the Oscar nominee’s first series role since the Steven Soderbergh-produced “The Knick” which wrapped in 2015. Owen can be seen in “Gemini Man” opening in cinemas today.
