Filmmaker James Cameron appeared in Las Vegas yesterday at CES 2020 to show off concept art for the forthcoming “Avatar” sequel opening in just under two years time.
Cameron showed off the art at automaker Daimler AG’s keynote presentation on Monday night where art of a Mercedes-Benz concept vehicle dubbed the ‘Vision AVTR’ – inspired by the world of “Avatar” and developed in collaboration with Cameron – was shown off.
We’ve long been told the next film in the saga will deal much more with Pandora’s oceans and the art suggests that’s the case with some idyllic tropical vistas seen. “Avatar 2” is also expected to feature more vehicles and machinery.
Disney has scheduled the release of “Avatar 2” for December 17th 2021 with three more films to follow in 2023, 2025 and 2027.
