The first photo has been released of Pierce Brosnan as rugged oil tycoon Eli McCullough in the upcoming AMC series “The Son”.
Based on the Philipp Meyer novel, Brosnan replaced Sam Neill in the central role of the patriarch of a wealthy Texas family. Set over multiple generations, the story of the McCullough family rises and falls – concurrent with America’s birth as a superpower.
Meyer will serve as a writer and executive producer on the show. Brosnan’s last major TV role was in the 1980s NBC series “Remington Steele”.
The ten-episode first season is set to premiere sometime in 2017.
