With only a few hours to go until its launch, Netflix has released the title sequence for its “Marvel’s Luke Cage” TV series on social media. The new series has scored a 79/100 on Metacritic, making it the second best Marvel series to date behind only the launch season of “Jessica Jones” (81).
Reviewers are calling it a “provocative, socially conscious crime drama that brings a fresh perspective to the ever-crowding superhero genre” and have heaped praise on the performances, the only criticisms tying in to the familiarity of the storyline. The series goes online at 12:01am US-PT.
