David Hasselhoff is “in talks” to reprise his role in NBC’s sequel to the 1980’s crime-driven show “Knight Rider” reports TV.Com.
“The Young and the Restless” star Deanna Russo has been cast as the female lead for the film, which could be converted to a recurring television series should it perform well.
Russo will play the daughter of K.I.T.T.’s inventor and gets Michael Knight’s son (Justin Bruening) behind the wheel of the high-tech car.
Earlier this week, Sydney Poitier, the daughter of screen legend Sidney Poitier, was also cast in the film-pilot. She will play an FBI agent and antagonist to the main character.
