Plum Pictures has optioned the film rights to Harlan Coben’s 2005 best-selling thriller “The Innocent” says The Hollywood Reporter.
The story follows an ex-con whose attempts to rebuild his life after an accidental murder are thwarted when his wife is kidnapped, leading him into a byzantine criminal underworld.
Coben’s “Tell No One” was adapted into a French sleeper hit earlier this year by writer-director Guillaume Canet.
