Catherine Keener has joined the cast of Fox 2000’s “Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief” says The Hollywood Reporter.
Rick Riordan’s fantasy-adventure book series puts the Greek gods in modern times, involve Poseidon’s half-human son, Percy, who is on a quest in modern America to prevent a war among the gods.
Keener plays Percy’s mother, who has battled to protect her son from otherworldly forces but has been abducted by Hades.
Christopher Columbus directs and co-wrote the adaptation with Craig Titley.
