Andrea Arnold (“Fish Tank”) is set to direct the new film adaptation of “Wuthering Heights” for Ecosse Films reports Variety.
Emily Bronte’s classic 1847 novel is a tempestuous love story about obsessive passion across the class divide, set on the Yorkshire Moors. The property has been adapted for film and TV more than a dozen times.
Arnold takes over for Peter Webber who left the project last month. Olivia Hetreed adapted the script with shooting to start in the Spring.
