Universal Pictures has scored the remake rights to Donovan Marsh’s South African thriller “iNumber Number”.
The story follows an honest undercover officer who, cheated out of a major promotion, crosses over from cop to robber to orchestrate a major heist. Things go to hell when the gang discovers his true identity and take his partner hostage.
Marsh isn’t involved in the remake with a new writer currently being sought. Chris Morgan, Emile Gladstone and Aram Tertzakian will produce.
The original film premiered at this year’s Toronto Film Festival.
