Joseph Gordon Levitt and Paul Rudd have reportedly emerged as the frontrunners to land the title role in Edgar Wright’s superhero film “Ant-Man” for Marvel Studios.
While there is still a possibility a third name could emerge, these two are the main contenders. Both will meet with Wright and Marvel one more time before a decision is made.
In the comics, the character is a scientist who invents a substance that allows him to change his size. Wright and Joe Cornish co-wrote the script.
The film is currently in pre-production ahead of filming early next year for a July 2015 release.
