As Legendary Pictures ends its financing and co-production pact with Warner Bros. Pictures, it has decided to change the nature of one of its lingering obligations.
Legendary has worked out a deal with Warner Bros. Pictures to invest in a significant piece of Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar” opening late next year.
To do that though, it has agreed to give up its stake in the Batman-meets-Superman sequel to “Man of Steel” due in 2015.
In July, Legendary entered into a five-year film partnership with Universal Pictures that will begin in 2014.
