Tom Hanks is set star in the Tom Tykwer-directed film adaptation of the Dave Eggers novel “Hologram For the King” at Playtone and X Filme Creative Pool.
The story is set in a rising Saudi Arabian city, far from a recession-scarred America, where a struggling American businessman pursues a last-ditch attempt to stave off foreclosure and pay his daughter’s college tuition.
Hanks, Tykwer, Stefan Arndt, Uwe Schott and Gary Goetzman will produce.
