Disney is in talks with UK writer Joe Ahearne (“Trance”) to pen a 3D live action re-invention of “Beauty and the Beast”.
Entitled “The Beast”, it’s thought the film will be on the dark side – yet still retain the big-budget fantasy trappings that has made both “Alice in Wonderland” and “Oz the Great and Powerful” smash hits for the studio.
David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman will produce.
