Following their plot spoiler revelations earlier this week, Bad Ass Digest has posted some more rumors and analysis regarding some of the characters in the upcoming “Star Wars: Episode VII” – specifically those of John Boyega and Gwendoline Christie.
POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD
Yesterday they indicated that Boyega’s character is an AWOL Stormtrooper on a mission of self-redemption. On a desert planet, which may not be Tatooine after all, he meets Daisy Ridley’s character and they come upon a severed hand holding Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber.
Today, the site indicates that Christie’s character is a villain, potentially an Imperial officer and Boyega’s commander before he went AWOL. Either way she is hunting him.
Their source adds: “The actress has been training with a lightsaber. Could she be an Imperial officer who has a lightsaber? Or is it something more? I’m hearing the S word (‘Sith’).”
After that they speculate that Christie’s role was originally written fairly gender neutral and was originally going to be a man – possibly the role that Benedict Cumberbatch was linked to in a much earlier draft.
How much of this will turn out to be true, we’ll have to wait and see.
