Forest Whitaker and Vince Vaughn are teaming for 13 Films’ post-apartheid drama “The Archbishop and the Antichrist” which will start filming early next year.
Based on Michael Ashton’s play of the same name, the story follows a fictionalized account of Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his meetings with Piet Blomfield – an imprisoned murderer who seeks redemption for the atrocities he has committed.
Roland Joffe (“The Killing Fields”) is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Ashton. Craig Baumgarten is producing.
